Crediting the Canadian Taxpayers Federation for releasing data on the salary of the chief of her band, Janette Peterson decided to run for position of chief. She said until the CTF released the data, members had no idea the former chief earned $160,000 tax free each year. Janette won the election on a pledge to let the 100 member band determine her salary. Atlantic Director Kevin Lacey comments.
